Washing machines over the years have evolved greatly since 1797 with increasing number of homes, commercial and industrial firms using it for their laundry purposes. Washing machines are built to suit size and purpose of use. When choosing a washing machine, is important that you know exactly what you want to use it for, then you will be sure to choose the exact type to suit your needs. Weather you buy the semi-automatic or the fully automatic (front or top loader), there are pros and cons. Now the type of pro or con you prefer or can endure is subjective and so I wouldn’t go into that debate as it will be a mere personal opinion, subjected to personal interests.
If you are looking to buy a washing machine for your new or currently residing home, then I will recommend that you buy the semi-automatic top loader washing machine for reasons below;
* It is mobile.
* It has a low water consumption, compared to the fully automatic.
* You can pour water to the desired level at start and there wont be the need for manual monitoring of continuous water flow.
* Plus you get to use less time frame compared to the automatic for washing.
* Transfer of clothes from wash to spin tub is done manually.
* Though semi-automatic, yet most of its controls are manual.
* Electrical connections need to removed prior to the wash-spin tub transfer to avoid risk of electrical shock.
* Covers a large space as some models are bulky.
After weight the above pros against the cons, if you have decided on the semi-automatic, then I should go on to recommend a washing machine I have personally tested and tried. It is the best I would say (although arguable), except for the fact that it has the above cons.
Introducing to you the Onida WS65WLP2 6.5 kg Semi Automatic Top Loading Washer. I recommend this washing machine for its durability, mobility, ease of use and operation, plus it isn’t one of the bulky and cumbersome semi-automatic washers on the washer consumer market.
I bought this washer 6 years back, with a 1-year warranty offer and through the years, there has been no mechanical or electrical repairs done to this washer. It is very light, compact, sleek and comes is nice colors. It has no heater, a problem I don’t worry so much about, it allows you to customize your own washing program, its hydro-logic pulsation makes it spin clothes faster without tangling them, It has a buzzer to alert you when it is done, plus+ the washer need just 270 watt of power to function and that is relatively less compared to others. This washer is relatively cheap, has a plastic body and resistant to rust yet endures the use of my whole family of eight. It washes both light and heavy clothes with no stains left behind. I strongly recommend this washer to you, if you really want to have a great washing experience.
